The Evolution of Anti-Mormonism

The Stone Box

Accusation #2: Joseph Smith made up the story about finding the golden plates in a buried stone box because at that time in history, there were no other archeological evidences of anybody burying things in stone boxes.

Response #2: Again one must recognize that Joseph Smith was only 15 years old when he committed to this story and he had no formal education.

The archeological evidence in the 1830 supported the anti-Mormon’s position. The anti-Mormons were telling the truth. Current history has found archeological evidences from many different parts of the world were they did store things in stone boxes. Evidence and pictures for these follow.

Since the time of Joseph Smith there have been over forty stone boxes discovered in many different parts of the world. Below are just a few examples of these boxes.

Again, over time and further archeological discoveries, Joseph Smith was found to be miraculously correct!

  • What do the anti-Mormons do about this evidence? Again they ignore it and they move to another accusation.
